I cannot fault the assistance of rail staff. The train is old with dated furnishings - tears in seats, reclining mechanisms not working. The train has to give way to goods trains so there are long delays. We arrived in Prince George & we were blocked from getting to the platform. The train reversed & we had to off load onto the dirty trackside. The following day we sat on that train for nearly 14 hours & most of the time we were stopped to give way to the goods trains. The Skeena never really got into 'top gear' & just crawled for the entire journey. Very frustrating.

"Scenic journey from Prince Rupert to Jasper"

Value for money: 4/5

Two day journey from Prince Rupert to Jasper. Day one of the journey was very long approx 13 hours from 8am to after 9pm. Several delays for freight trains to go past. Could do with another short stop at a town later in the afternoon for passengers to get off the train and stretch their legs. Day two great. Scenery more interesting. Journey approx 8 hours. Staff very friendly and attentive. Seating comfortable. Make sure you get a seat with a good viewing window on the right side of train for day 1 and the left side of train on day 2.
