What constitutes a journey?

One train trip made without changing trains. Each change of trains starts another journey.

Are seat reservations compulsory?

Yes. The cost of the reservation is already included in the price of the pass. Seat reservations are compulsory for each train journey and can be made at or in person at the Renfe ticket offices in Spain. Please ensure to allow additional time in case of long queues.

Which trains can I travel on?

The Renfe Spain Pass is valid for AVE Long Distance and Medium Distance services (except night trains). The pass is not valid on any international services.

Where can I view train timetables?

Please click on Timetables from the top toolbar on our website. Please select the timetable you require (note Western/Eastern European timetables is the one for Europe). Here you can look up timetables for the trains you require. Please refer to our Timetable Help Sheet if you are having trouble looking up your train.Do not request for a fare as this link is only used for train times. For train numbers/additional information please tick the far left hand side box, and this will bring up train times, if reservations are compulsory and additional details.

Will this pass be a paper or e-ticket?

The Renfe Spain Pass is only valid as an e-ticket.
